Back to the Market...

I have been traveling a lot lately and have not been able to get out to the Farmers Market to shoot. I finally was able to go last Saturday and I was very pleased with all the great new veggies that they had. Huge Heirlooms, Okra, Corn and a slew of other wonderful foods were available. I can't wait to continue this project and have been speaking with Farmer Jeff about doing some video projects that will give people information on why Organic, Locally produced foods are so important to us all...

Big Thanks to Beats Antique!!!

Many thanks to the Beats Antique for coming through with permission for me to use their song "Dope Crunk" in my Olympus: Your Story Challenge. Dope Crunk was the song during the skitching section of my film. I first heard Beats Antique while in NYC at Think Coffee in Union Square. I was working on images and could not help but stop what I was doing, go to the counter and demand the workers to tell me who the amazing sounds I was hearing were being created by. Support the artists that support your culture.

Big up to Kristen and Ray!!!

While in NYC filming for the Olympus Your Story Challenge I kicked it with long time friend and fellow blader, Ray Mendez. Ray and his girl, Kristen, were nice enough to take Montre and I out in the LES one evening and we had a great time. I was recently in a bind with music rights for my project and Kristen came through HELLA hard for blading by getting the rights to use the BlakRoc track in Montre's section. Shouts to Ray, Kristen and Damon Dash for being badass human beings!

I went out on Saturday to check out the A-Town Stomp Street Contest. This image was shot in an abandoned school east of Atlanta. The blader in this photo's name is Steven Tat. Steven is from Kentucky and rips. I look forward to working with him on projects in the future.

Olympus Final Submission

This is my submission for the Olympus Your Story Challenge. It has been a very intense journey and I would like to thank everyone that helped in the creation of this piece. We as rollerbladers are very strong as a community. I am proud that I have been given the opportunity to create something to represent us as a people. Although this is not the finished project I am very proud of this version. When the Olympus staff announces the winner of the grand prize I will upload the final version of this project which includes the credits and more great content from the streets of NYC. If you would like any information on the project, feel free to email me at kevin@kevindowling.net!

Thanks again for all of the support,

Kevin Dowling
